his is the official home page of 'circus dog' who, along with parker knoll make music in staffordshire worth taking note of we are a four piece band, with mark bason, ben grant, tom williams and tom shave (on lead, bass/backing vocals, drums and lead vocals/ keyboards respectively) who are mainly interested in writing and performing our own music

he work on the album is coming along well. At the moment it is called '1977'. It was kind of my idea, but I like it. I know ash have an album called 1977 but our's has a meaning that will be explained on the sleeve, or on here if we can't afford proper sleeves!
you can get two songs from the album on our music page. once the album is finished and pressed we'll take these off and probably put on our other songs that did not make it onto the album, like 'Jazzman Joe' and the famous 'Mossy's song (feel their disease).' currently the tracklisting is looking like this: sing the sky, nowhere to run, the piano player, steal my name, a calm song, isle of dreams, commuting tramps, a couple of ambient pieces, never take the chance, and few that aren't titled yet, not necessarily in that order. check out the art page for the proposed cover.

ur influences are varied, having three song writers, but BECK BLUR RADIOHEAD the BEATLES and REM are our main source of musical inspiration whilst the BETA BAND BRIAN ENO and such like influence us in our use of synthesizers and other technological aspects of composition we are currently working on our first, as yet untitled album which should be available in the near future keep an eye on this page for further information+
